impossible to say which is best. any version from 92-98 is a contender. but this one is marred bu a muffed line and clogged sinuses.

Anyone know of versions that might be considered contenders for the "best" version? Acoustic? Electric? And with good sound.

Thanks for this, and sorry for the delay in responding. It is a stunning version, one that I no doubt first heard on the "Bathed" disc, back in the day. Listening to it now is certainly an inducement to check out the "back catalogue."

Think I first heard the song on a Joan Baez album in the mid-'60s. Time flies.
