"Rare Recordings" Forum policy--please read 11 Years, 5 Months ago
Administration requests that all threads containing links to concert recordings be posted on the
"Rare Recordings" (formerly "Bootleg" ) forum. All current threads of that kind are being moved to that forum by administration.
Also, no links to commercial sites should be posted on any of the forums. Such posts will be deleted.

the websites of Bill Pagel & expectingrain have been an inspiration to me since i started my own websites over 12 years ago.
the experience gained from visiting these sites over the years & the regulations to be adhered to as far as inofficial/unofficial/non-official/non-commercially available recordings are concerned i would be eager to adopt here as well, particularly since this site here has now moved from one country to another with stricter laws as far as such recordings are concerned.
seeing that links to such music collections had previously been available to be seen even by visitors to theneverendingpool website without registering now has made me want to adjust the guidelines as far as the sharing of such recordings is concerned.
therefore numerous posts have already been moved to a section only visible to registered members.
i have also had my own experience with videos at YouTube that were either censored or the sound removed. in one case it was a video i took near a theater in Bern, it was a lightshow to which music played from loudspeakers on the square. a few days after publishing the video i reveived a note that it contained music from some record label, of course i could've raised an objection, but instead i rather deleted the video.
in another case i published a video with a reference to Bob Dylan, it was a very short clip that did not even contain any music, but was simply taken during the encore in Sursee. the video was banned. i had to delete it.
so, before we run into any big trouble overhere, let's stick to the new guidelines.
