Okay Folks, this is the skinny on the "New, Unexpected Song" selection.
By NEP definition:
A new, unexpected song is a song that;
A) Is a Dylan composition & Not a Cover or instrumental.
B Has NOT been played in concert before.
C) Is NOT another song within the Joker category or any other song grouping.
____
Guidelines & Examples:
Dylan plays "If You Ever Go to Houston" on the first night of the tour. Those that selected the "New, Unexpected Song" would get credited 20pts.
Please make note, if Dylan plays that particular song any other night thereafter, one cannot gain further points on a particular song. It is a one time deal.
However, if Dylan plays another new track from the album, those same NEP'ers that picked the 'New, Unexpected Song' can once again earn 20pts for the selection.
Basically, the song choice works for any debuts and debuts ONLY of A,B & C from above.
I hope this clears up the 'fogginess' this song selection creates. We are looking into the possible removal or modification in subsequent entry forms.
Thanks for your consideration & Good Luck
