Re:Set list 2 Years, 1 Month ago
It may make for a somewhat unsatisfying Pool game but, having heard a couple of the shows, I disagree.

Re:Set list 2 Years, 1 Month ago
How is the unvarying set lists any different (different is the key word, as 'different' is what makes Bob Bob) from Tony Orlando or Frankie Avalon or Alice Cooper? Plus "somewhat unsatisfying" pool is hardly an accurate description of an unchanging list of individuals and teams.

Re:Set list 2 Years, 1 Month ago
If you think that Bob not changing his live set list makes him the equivalent of Tony Orlando than I'm not sure what I can say. I don't think being "different" is the only thing that makes Bob Bob - it's being so good.

Re:Set list 2 Years, 1 Month ago
in the 60s when he had only a few songs there were the same about every night, or not? that's how i see it.

there wasn't a pool game then though.

Re:Set list 2 Years, 1 Month ago
I was not ever comparing BD to TO. Bob is on a level so far above anyone else that there's NO comparison. I was commenting on the exact same songs each show. That's IT! Hopefully, we all have heard a few of the shows when "he only had a few songs," when each song showed Bob on the precipice, when history was being made, when a person who saw two shows on the tour was lucky. None of these circumstances exist nowadays. It's a very very tight band, Bob's voice is well-suited and strong, but I still contend that it's much too stagnant. Just wait for the ubiquitous "amazing" label to be thrown about if he exchanges one song for another. Two consecutive 1966 set lists explain what I mean. : White Plains, New York
5 February 1966

1.She Belongs To Me
2.To Ramona
3.Visions Of Johanna
4.It's All Over Now, Baby Blue
5.Desolation Row
6.Love Minus Zero/No Limit
7.Mr. Tambourine Man
8.Tell Me, Momma
9.I Don't Believe You (She Acts Like We Never Have Met)
10.Positively 4th Street

Syria Mosque
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
6 February 1966

1.She Belongs To Me
2.To Ramona
3.Visions Of Johanna
4.Desolation Row
5.Love Minus Zero/No Limit
6.Mr. Tambourine Man
7.Positively 4th Street
8.Like A Rolling Stone

Also look at the 74 tour, or with Petty. This is unvarying Las Vegas stagnant stuff for over 30 shows in a row.
