Well, I've skimmed through the forum and, to tell you the truth, I haven't noticed any exaggerated negativity. Seems to be mostly set list discussions. But I do admit I might have missed things. Care to share any examples?
this: - I just d'loaded four songs, thanks to a poster at The 'tower. "Dignity," imo, is an arrangement that didn't/won't work.
- Half way through "Sugar Baby," I stopped listening to it.
- "Chimes" was average, at best. I nearly nodded off.
and this: after listening to the whole show it sounds like a very mediocre one.
and this: but, that dignity is absolutely terrible in every single way possible. the band are embarassing, the arrangement is insipid, dylan's vocal is up his own arse and worse than all that, if proof was ever needed that some people are deluded and would cheer if bob took a shit on the stage, it's this performance.
and this:
This arrangement takes one of Bob's most fascinating lyrics and manages to make it sound like a nursery rhyme. The organ sounds like a circus calliope ... I don't want him to stop trying new things, but this is bizarre.
and this: this is quite poor
and this: deleting this torrent right now
and this: to my ears the band are only half decent on the faster numbers. if it ain't a blues-shuffle-rock thing, they don't cut the mustard, in fact some of the performances sound like a group of pissheads messing about in a garage, forming a cover band.
in the grand scheme of things, it's poor.
on a par with....
feb 1991, varied setlists but poor.
summer 2003 with dead, uninspired drivel.
2004-08, shite band, coasting along.
and this: he long ago stopped being an artist of real merit, i fail to see how anyone can even consider that his quality control gland is still intact. he's now a nostalgia act, a novelty.
this: mobile, mobile when will that warhorse get a rest?
this:
I can't remember the last time he did a good version of Shooting Star but it is always nice to hear it if you're there, I guess.
