Hi guys 'n gal, I hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year. I wanted to get a ticket to see Bob in Bournemouth but by the time I got around to it the only tickets left were almost £200 so I passed but much to my surprise my sister bought me a ticket for the Glasgow show (May 7th) as a birthday present, so I'll get to see his Bobness again thanks to my lovely sister. I'm not sure yet whether or not I'm gonna buy the new studio album, I've spent a lot of money lately on some very rare Dylan bootleg releases (Flaggin' Down the Double E's / Blue Eyed Boston Boy - Stars From the Darkest Night & Summer Night 1996)which I'd rather listen to than the Sinatra covers.Wont be too much longer before Bob hit the road again .... hope to see you all here for another road-trip together.

6th place overall. Have we ever been outside of the top 10? - The songs that have been played regularly don't score you much. "Highway 61" became a regular and was the only 2 digit song played nearly every night. See you on the other side of winter.

A tip of the hat to M for sticking to his picks and to 6 for relating his magical encounter. Thanks to Bob and our Boys for a grand finale.

6th place now. 3rd for the night. Highway 61 scores me 10 points a night. I remember very clearly picking it, but I don't remember the exact reasoning precisely at that moment.

If Bob sticks to this setlist for the last 6 shows we could finish 4th in the pool (possibly 3rd but unlikely)with Meinhard taking the Golden Bob award ..... looking good guys.I've just got my hands on a 4Cd set from Toads Place 1990 .... great stuff in wonderful sound quality

We have local elections here in the Faroe Islands while you are voting for the Presidency and the Senate. Meanwhile in the Pool: it's now a tie between Buick 6 and yours truly in the Pool. As always, we're in the top 10.

I know exactly what you mean G/T Since Dylan's Nobel Prize was announced it kinda feels like we Dylan fans always knew something others didnt, like we always knew some special secret. Feels good too!

On another subject-- since the announcement of the Nobel prize I sure feel a lot smarter and much more intellectual.

Six - Great story about the time you met Bob. As much as I would give about anything to meet him I am sure I would be unable to utter anything remotely intelligent. If I do ever get the opportunity to say something to him I am hopeful that your encounter will come to mind and that I will get it together enough to say "You're Bob Dylan"!!!

Wow! What a story. No one knows what to say at a time like that. You said the right thing: "You're Bob Dylan." In hindsight, you might want to talk to him about "Little Moses" and "God Knows" and God knows what else. Perhaps the prospect of him winning the Nobel Prize. - I never saw Bob except on stage. I've had a few front-row moments, and those will always stay with me. - Thanks for sharing.

Well folks it's around 6am here in the UK and I cant sleep,I'm not sure why perhaps I'm getting old and dont need so much sleep as I used to cos when I was a young man i could sleep for days, weekends have would pass by as I snored away! Anyway enough about my insomnia,at least it's given me time to tell G/T about my encounter with Bob way back in 1993. Crow and I had just started working at a shipyard outside of Victoria, British Columbia,Canada living in a cheap motel to save money, and not doing much of anything except working.I was reading the local newspaper (remember them?) when I saw to my excitement that Bob would be playing at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver in 2wks time. Next day after work we went off to the Ticketmaster outlet to see if there were any tickets left for the show and much to my surprise the show was far from sold-out,so we got 2 decent tickets just to the left of centre stage maybe 15 rows back.I had never been to Vancouver before and didnt want to get lost so the day before the concert we took a day off work got the ferry over to the city and found a motel not too far from the Paific Coliseum. I'm one of those people who likes to prepare for things (it drives Black Crow nuts lol)I would rather be 2 hours early the 2mins late,so I asked for directions to the Coliseum and decided to scout out how we would get there there next day,so we wouldnt get lost.We hopped on a local bus and 10 or 15mins later there we were standing outside the Coliseum. It was a beautiful August afternoon, sunny and warm so I was just about to suggest we head off for lunch and maybe a cold beer or six when a very ordinary looking car pulled up and out from the back steps Bob and another guy,I was maybe 5 feet away from my hero.Bob looked over my way and noticed I was smoking and asked if he could borrow my cigarette lighter,I handed it to him he lit a cigarette, thanked me and handed back the lighter.I was still in shock at being so close to the greatest singer songwriter of all time,my hero since I was a very young lad.I wanted to say something clever to him but when I opened my mouth all that came out was "You're Bob Dylan" to which he smiled then replied "I am today" and started walking towards the entrance.I did regain my composure long enough to ask for his autograph even though I knew he doesnt always like to sign autographs but he said sure, maybe cos I had loaned him my lighter lol.I didnt even have a pen so the guy Bob was with handed him one and I emptied out my pack of cigarettes into my pocket tore the box open and he signed the blank inside of the box.He asked if we were going to the show the next day and said he hoped we would enjoy it.My meeting with Bob lasted no more than a few minutes but those few minutes will stay with me forever.I cant remember much about the show but I still remember meeting Bob and his autograph is still one of my most precious possessions.I just went onto bobdylan.com to find the setlist ...... Youíre Gonna Quit Me Stuck Inside Of Mobile With The Memphis Blues Again All Along The Watchtower Just Like A Woman Tangled Up In Blue Under The Red Sky Little Moses Boots Of Spanish Leather Donít Think Twice, Itís All Right God Knows Highway 61 Revisited What Good Am I? Girl From The North Country Well G/T that's about it,the day I met Bob Dylan and looking at the setlist now it must have been a wonderful show.

Yeah, Jo. This is quite something. It certainly took up most of my weekend time. I must have read hundreds of articles and have had talks and chats with friends. On top of it all, we're still and again in the top ten. (Bob Dylan, the poet laureate of rock and roll is now a Nobel laureate. This will do a lot of good for us fans. There will be more publications and releases and podcasts and everything. The music comes first, but all of it is good.)

I'm sure by now you've heard the news. I guess all our letters were effective to move the otherwise stolid academy. Whatever it took, I'm trebling with excitement, joy and a renewed faith in the wisdom of men, especially in light of the current tide of ignorance and falsehood on American politics.

Hi guys looks like I got lucky last night with the joker pick. Just before I went off to bed I saw a tweet from someone near the venue saying they heard Bob and the band soundchecking Rainy Day Women so I thought I'd take a chance with it and it paid off. It's been a while since I've picked the correct joker but looking over the setlist I think there were a couple of joker picks played.

I did a few last minutes changes and followed our captain and the Crow with the same joker pick. "Bobby Sinatra" really BCB! If Bob sticks to the same setlist much longer he'll be the "Chairman of the BORED" for sure! I'm off to bed now, old men need lots of rest but I'll be up bright and early eager to see the setlist. Goodnight folks.

Looks like we have a full team again which is fantastic. I changed my joker pick and copied our skipper with "Girl From the North Country" not too much longer before Bobby Sinatra takes to the stage. Good luck I'll try to check in again soon and hopefully I'll see Jo and her Boys flying high again. Ciao for now
