i posted a video of a girl singing a bob cover in quite the american idol style and warren said ummn, and then i removed the video since her style of singing seemed overwrought though well-crafted -- as you see it says on edit. hence the mystery.

so norfolk, nice to see po'boy -- that song sneaks up on 'ya with it's simple grace huh. i saw it in washington and finally got it's majesty.

quanta, my "Ummn" had nothing to do with any video you posted.

perceptive point, actually non sequiturs are why i love bob's work - very zen, or brechtian -- take your pick
          -- mystical in my opinion.

" non sequitur is a conversational and literary device, often used for comical purposes (as opposed to its use in formal logic). It is a comment which, due to its apparent lack of meaning relative to what it follows,[1] seems absurd to the point of being humorous or confusing, as in the following joke:
Q: How many surrealists does it take to change a light bulb?
          A: Fish.
The use of non sequitur in humor can be deliberate or unintentional. Literally, the expression is Latin for "it does not follow."[2] In other literature, a non sequitur can denote an abrupt, illogical, unexpected or absurd turn of plot or dialogue not normally associated with or appropriate to that preceding it.
The non sequitur can be understood as the converse of cliché. Traditional comedy and drama can depend on the ritualization and predictability of human emotional experiences, where the Theatre of the Absurd uses disjunction and unpredictability."

What's more, the below Non Sequitur cartoon in July 25, 2009's Houston Chronicle depicts not
only a UFO but one of the characters mentioned is the acronym for Like A Rolling Stone lol:

          Non Sequitur

Quanta, I can't get enough of them non sequiturs........

So hey, I've fallen behind on the new show torrents. Anyway you could put up an mp3 of Feel My Love, or Jolene, or Po' Boy or something? I know there's a best of new mp3's thread around.... Maybe if you have a minute, just wondering.....
