If there's a lesson to be learned for some in this thread, then it lies in these words by songanddanceman:

QUOTE: What is truly beyond me is that most people here are blind to hilarious threads and posters, and have absolutely no idea when people are taking the piss.
"Taking the piss" is an expression used, at times, mostly by posters from the UK. Until I'd joined DylanPool, I'd never heard of the expression. The North American equivalent of "taking the piss" is, in effect, someone putting you on.

Oh c'mon guys, who is this Charlie_Quintana?
Anybody that familiar with Bobstuff and good at writing parody posts must have been back at the old Pool with an equally funny (but different) routine? Someone must know who it is, or am I just being dumb? tom .? That crazy chick from Rio? Spill...

I went to 15 shows in 1991. If people hate that year, they are just Bob-haters and don't get it.
If people were to say slag off 1991 or Shot Of Love, nobody would whinge about negativity because it's in the past.
People always have and always will say the latest tour is the best ever. he's been getting beter every year since 1988 according to some people.
What is truly beyond me is that most people here are blind to hilarious threads and posters, and have absolutely no idea when people are taking the piss.
I hasten to add, I've been serious and obviously not joined in the pretend posters' glee of 2009 Bob.
there's a lot of people to say a lot of different things, do you find you are too focused on those that like more modern/current stuff than you do?
i do think that people hold certain spots of Dylan's career close to their heart and would argue about someone else's negativity there, in the past, especially.
i'm not totally sure what everyone is arguing about really. some people like this song or that song or this period or that period. or some people don't like this or that. oh well. Admin doesn't particularly care unless someone's belaboring the same negative opinion.

"there's a lot of people to say a lot of different things, do you find you are too focused on those that like more modern/current stuff than you do?"
I'm not focused on anybody else at all.
It just gets my back up when people accuse others of being a Bob hater or stupid for not liking a certain period or album. It doesn't matter if it's tour '09, '03. '97, '93 or tour '84.
I have clearly said that in my opinion there is lots to applaud this tour, yet because I don't think the tour is anywhere as good as the past, that Bob no longer has the capacity to sing and perform like he once could, people get all defensive and huper-critical of an opinion, because they don't agree. They take it as a personal insult because someone does not agree with them.
I've also stated, I'm sure some people are enjoying these shows.
Yours.
Mark (songanddanceman) the Bob hater, who has been to loads more than a 100 shows and seen shows in three continents, who is hyper excited about the new album and injury knackered body permitting, will see some gigs in the UK '09.

Well.....he has got a very big nose (that'd be the jew in him)

this: - I just d'loaded four songs, thanks to a poster at The 'tower. "Dignity," imo, is an arrangement that didn't/won't work.
- Half way through "Sugar Baby," I stopped listening to it.
- "Chimes" was average, at best. I nearly nodded off.
You were quoting me, here, 'burt. It appears that you chose to choose your comments rather selectively, making no mention of the fact that I posted an mp3 of "Shooting Star," and that I spoke of it, favourably.
You may be well-served by going for a long walk.
does that make the other three remarks non-negative then? i'm confused?
