I'll be looking for Peter Stone Brown. There is a great bar called The Waterford across the back alley on Ludlow Street for pre-show. Sure it will be a packed house. Don't you dare miss it! This theater has incredible sound which is why it's still in use as a concert hall after all these years. Bob may throw us a curve-ball in the set-list on at least one of the 2 nights.

Great show tonight; incredible sound in this concert hall. Bob was in fine form and it was a very different experience from even his most recent past tour through here at Academy Of Music. Many re-arrangements of the old and even the newer songs. And Bob the crooner, the crowd went wild for that. A static set list but very very well done. It was great to meet people from London, Toronto, Maryland, D.C., Los Angeles, and all over the place; here for Bob. Mr. Dylan. Wow. However, did not run into Peter Brown. Maybe tomorrow night.

Additional post:

It was.....different.Different than even my 2 most recent past shows at Academy Of Music in 12-14 and Mann Music Center in 07-16, both of those shows having a basic "static" set-list. Bob's concert has taken on a distinctive Broadway Show feel even-more-so than the recent past. The stage set-up changed with Bob now stage-right with the band spread-out stage left and Stu/George/Tony in a tight unit stage left. Charlie is in the middle and front-and-center quite a bit and he just wails out the electric solos. The songs (and musical styles) are well-timed and placed to bring shining moments and dark-gloomy-retrospective moments to the show. Bob "the crooner" is now full-blown with him swirling the mike stand, dressed in a 50's-esque white satin jacket and white bucks as he croons classic standards, and the crowd went wild for all of it! The enunciation of words has improved BUT the re-writing of most of the older tunes and even the relatively newer ones was somewhat startling, particularly Tangled Up In Blue which was almost unrecognizable unless you listened to the lyrics. That said, it was still good, even GREAT, slick and with a nice flow to the show. Bob is on-stage for about 1:45 including the encores. If you can see it, go! One never knows.

Night Two was somewhat of a (relative) disappointment to me after a really great Night One. Bob played like a man in a hurry to catch a tour bus out of town, "on the road headed for another joint". One small change in the static set list with Scarlet Town. No words to the crowd, no introductions of The Cowboy Band, and hardly a bow or a line-up at exit time. The show was over in a scant 1:40. But still, a thrill and full of energy and I'll be waiting for the next time around. It was good to see Peter Stone Brown, whom I had missed on Night One. Be well, Peter.
