false prophet is my favorite of the 3, so I am very excited for the new album. I am looking forward to the return of live shows as well. false prophet sounds like it would be great live.

I agree with stackalees comments but "I Contain Multitudes" has its moments. I find "Murder Most Foul" tedious.

so far I like it better than anything since love and theft. only mother doesn't do anything for me. cant wait to hear it on better speakers than my laptop. what songs do you think will be played when concerts start back up?

How interesting. My ranking is totally different. My favourite tracks after a couple of quick listens are:

My Own Version of You
Key West
Mother Of Muses
Black Rider

I think it's one of the truly great Dylan albums. Damn!

Generally speaking, I think a listener has to be old enough to remember where they were when they heard that Kennedy had been shot for this song to really connect, deeply. I could see how otherwise it could sound tedious.

I was referring to the music on "Murder Most Foul. Not the lyrics. Of course, I wasn't from until 1976 so that may havesomething to do with it.

I was part of a half-hour panel discussion about Rough And Rowdy Ways on New Zealand's National Radio over the weekend, along with Nick Bollinger (NZ music expert and one helluva bass player) and Reb Fountain (fantastic alt-country singer/songwriter).

It's now on-line and you can listen to it HERE
